How do the reading missions work?
- Challenge someone to complete a mission
- Register for a mission on our medals page
- Set the mission’s goal and the deadline to complete the mission.
- Track your progress on the mission tracker.
- When you complete the goal, you have earned the awesome “MISSION COMPETE” medal.
- Take a picture wearing your medal and your completed mission tracker and upload it to our social media pages

Giving back to others
It’s great knowing your mission helped a great charity cause as well. Each of our missions benefit a charity who’s goal is to better the lives of our children. A portion of all sales will be donated back to the mission’s charity. You learn, you have fun, and you help great causes that make our world a better place.
This is NOT a participation trophy
Most importantly, we want to make sure the children earn their medals. They must
- Agree to the mission goal
- Successfully complete that goal
- And then be rewarded with the medal they earned

Commander Karly asks everyone to start here on your first mission. In this mission, you will:
- learn how to set your goal, how to track your progress, and then how to post your results.
- learn about helping this mission’s charity - Four Diamonds Fund to support Penn State Hershey's Children's Cancer Center
Once you are done and completed you goal by reading that many books (or minutes or pages each day), you will have
- READ A LOT
- gained valuable experience
- helped kids that really need it
- earned your first MISSION COMPLETE 3 inch medal.
